if i upload the 2 file into my server, then i still need to edit the code into my ecommerce/_config.php, like the above you show me to follow the pastie .org sample?

you are trying to use paypal for the custom payment gateway? Paypal is a new feature of the ecommerce module thats part of the default installation so you dont need to do anything custom.
Ive never used this but checkout the trunk version of the ecommerce module or download the latest version of the ecommerce module from daily builds - http://dailybuilds.silverstripe.com/modules-tarballs/ as that will have Paypal built into it
