public user getting prompted for cms login details

If we use the ip address of the system to access the we page we get the home page witout being prompted for the cms usr/passwd - if we use (in our dns) to access the website we get prompted for the cms login user/passwd - The login/prompt screen it displaysSilverstripe test website

I am new to silverstripe - I have seen mention about set_evironment_type
in mysite/ _config.php but am not sure if this relates to the problem we are seeing - the web page is using the default page in apache2 and has no virtual host specified in the file just using the *

We would like to stop being prompted for the cms login/password for the home page - does someone know how to do this? silverstripe version 2.0.1 php5 ubuntu 7 mysql

Sorry just noticed this is in the wrong group I think it should be under general

18/06/07 We have just resolved this problem - we took out the Http://test out of the name and changed to and this worked for some reason it did not like the test.* and would ask for a password - now this is resolved

it seems the problem is in the Director::isTest()
