Hi Guys,

Can someone point me to a link/post/article on how to resolve the following problem

I'm testing the cms and have links as follows

Home
About us
- Board Of directors
- Members
Services

Now when i click on say Services link, the page opens with a url format as follows

www.testdomain.com/services

However when i click on members, it opens as

www.testdomain.com/members

How can i make the url keep the hierarchy as

www.testdomain.com/about-us/members

Can someone help me with the same?

Kind Regards
Al

URLs are all on the same level at the moment, so you can't do this, but there is work underway to support heirachical URLs in a future version (not sure how advanced it is).

Just to follow up, there is a patch out there which is being used as the base for implementing it in the core.

http://sstest.grayzagdesign.com/nested-url-s/

I probably wouldn't use it, as it's not stable at all.

If you check out svn, there is a branch called nested urls which has more work done to it.

It looks like it will be included in at least the 2.4 version of SS which is still ways off.

a workaround is to change the URL in the metadata tab of the page although this wont allow you to include any slashes.

Thanks guys,

hmm that kinda throws a spanner in the works , especially as most sites we do require proper structuring from both client management as well as SEO point of view..

Hey, does anyone know where we can ask the developers about any development / patch ETD? or is that here in the forum as well?

Thanks once again

Kind Regards
Al
