I would like to know how to change the lines showing by default on the blog.

the custom styles for blog are contained in the blog.css file in blog/css/. That border in particular is set on line 45

I could be wrong, but it sounds more like he's asking how to change the number of lines "preview" of each blog post is shown;

I haven't looked at the blog module, so I'm afraid I can't help with the answer though, only helping clarify the question if Will hasn't already answered it.

that is correct I was looking at the preview not at the border setting in css.
