I saw this in a previous forum item, but I didn't see it in the bug list. When a moving .gif is uploaded and/or inserted in a content box, it becomes a still image.
Maybe this is because it is resamples / resized? The name of the .gif file is different in the html (when I view source), so somehow it is converted.

That's correct. The file is resampled. It shouldn't resample it unless you've actually changed the dimensions, which I see could be a bug of sorts...
