how do i set up spam protection and mollom on my version 2.3 site?

and on my localhost version?

i tried with latest modules but did not work on local.

then tried to get older versions.

got mollom.2

but can't get spamprotector.2

can anyone give me advice to solve all the spam i am getting in comments!!!

Could you be a bit more specific as to how they did not 'work' did you get an error.

Ah looks like a bug on the download page, seems to have to .2.1 version but downloads the .3 one. Try the trac downloader

I solved the problem by using recaptcha instead.

Which system, Recaptcha or Mollom do you think is best t use?

I prefer recaptcha and normally deploy that. I've have issues with using Mollom and the module. Recaptcha you can also theme so it can look quite nice.
