freshly installed Silverstripe 3.1.2. Login to the admin using Chrome on Mac OS X 10.8.4. Chrome version 30.0.1599.101.
But the sitetree is not showing. I only got the progress loader image (please see attached image).
I have problem with Chrome on Windows 7, or Safari on Mac.

It could be JS problem, check if your browser do not block pop ups or something.
don't see any javascript error in console. looking at the 'network' tab in the chrome developer tab, the 'post' to get the data for the sitetree takes ages
