I'm working on Localhost, using Wamp with a fresh 2.4.1 SilverStripe and DOM 414.

My problem is... I don't see the search Field, or the "Allow Drag&Drop reordering' ... I can sort my DataObject by Title or Price but not by the name of their has_one 'Town'...

It gets worse with nested DataObjects, because once I added one 2nd level Data Object and saved, I can see the list, but not add other Data Objects....

I need help here :( ... anyone ?

Is the root folder for DataObjectManager named "dataobject_manager"?

That's not a DataObjectManager. That's a ComplexTableField.
