DOM showing all data objects on all pages?

Go to End

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is expected behaviour or if I'm doing something wrong (very likely!):

I have a data object ServiceProduct with a many-many relation to a page type ServiceProductHolder.
I am using ServiceProductHolder pages to categorise ServiceProducts and display them in the front end. This is working fine - ServiceProducts are displayed on their relevant category page(/s).
ServiceProductHolder.php has a DOM which creates a tab to manage the ServiceProducts for each category page. However, no matter which category page you edit, all 71 service products are displayed, rather than just those that belong to that particular page.

My questions are: is this how it is supposed to be? and can I restrict the DOM to displaying only the ServiceProducts that belong to the page?

Any help greatly appreciated!
