I've noticed that the E-Commerce module is no longer supported. Is somebody able to enlighten me as to Silverstripes plans for providing (or not) a supported e-commerce module that works?

There seem to be lots of people wanting the E-Commerce module to work plus PayPal payments. It used to but now it doesn't!

I'd like to know more about this too...and why it was moved off the 'supported' list.

Possibly not part of SilverStripe's 'core' business?

A lot of open source software has modules which are ioncredibly popular but not necessarily supported by the core development team.

BTW, Ecommerce 0.6 has been released:

I would think it was moved off the supported list as the 0.5.2 code base is not be considered stable enough to be warranted as supported.

The SilverStripe core team will continue to work away at the module, Namely halkyon / sean who has done some great work in overseeing it. There is also a few community devs looking into ecommerce - http://groups.google.com/group/silverstripe-ecommerce. Its a large beast but with the help of everyone we can see a few more regular updates to the module.
