Hi all,
just wondering what peoples thoughts are about using SS for the backend of a facebook app. It's a game portal app which will house top flash games from a casual games company. I know SS will be great as an interface for mainting the portal but unsure about the load speed if it was to receive 1000s of simulatious requests.
I've read about cacheing SS never implimented it before.

Any thoughts?

We built a Facebook app using SS as the backend. It was a web 2.0 game, seems to perform very well. We get thousands of hits on the application a week and we don't have any issues with running the application off standard shared hosting.

The Facebook app is here:

We also use SilverStripe to power our Facebook app. Been using it for around a month, and it's been very good so far.
