install problem with SS 3.0.2 on Mac osx 10.8

hello can some one help me I am having problems installing SS 3.0.2 I keep getting this message

Is the .htaccess file writeable?

User '_www' needs to be able to write to this file:
/Users/username/Sites/silverstripe/.htaccess

The file is currently owned by 'shane'. There is no user-group that contains both the web-server user and the owner of this file. Change the ownership of the file, create a new group, or temporarily make the file writeable by everyone during the install process.

my os is:
Apache/2.2.22
PHP 5.3.15
mac os x mountain lion

I have tried even with the .htaccess like (htaccess.) be keep getting the problem.
hope you can help
