Hi there,

When SivlerStripe 3 was released, I started creating a guide on how to use the admin area to give to my clients. The guide has grown into a quite comprehensive ebook. This guide has proved really useful, and I've recently put it up on my SilverStripe Resources website.

http://www.silverstriperesources.com/books-and-ebooks/using-silverstripe-3-ebook/

As well being available direct to the website owners, if any developers are keen on getting a 'rebranded' version to give their clients just let me know.

Sounds like a great resource! Any chance we could see a couple sample pages to know what it looks like?

hI,

Futureweb,
you write :

"Normally $19, buy your copy now and pay only $9.95!"

to buy this ebook

"Using SilverStripe 3 is a comprehensive 40 page, illustrated guide"

40 pages ?
or 400 pages ?
19 $ ?

8-O

I Have bought the great Ingo Schommer Book

and the Philipp Krenn ebook...

about 20 $ each

and
http://doc.silverstripe.org/framework/en/

is free, like the forum...

Excuse me, but
40 pages for 19 or 10 $, is not for me.

Hi all,

A few points...

> The guide is about 'using' the admin area, not how to build sites. It's written for primarily site owners who have been given the task of managing a website. I have helped 'train' a number of site owners, and they've really appreciated this ebook.

> http://doc.silverstripe.org/framework/en/ is a guide for developers, which is very different. I do admit there is now a pretty good 'user' guide on the silverstripe website at http://3.0.userhelp.silverstripe.org/, but this didn't exist when I first created the ebook.

Tzeller - If, like you say, you've been using silverstripe for 3 years, and are looking for tutorials and mobiles, it's probably not the right book for you, email me, i'll be happy to refund the $9.95...
