(sorry if i posted this in the wrong section)

Hi, first of all thanks for this great piece of software. big thumbs up!

My only concern about SS is the multilanguage support. I'm building a site which should be bilingual and although i found 'some' links in the wiki and on this forum, i couldn't really manage to get everything working. Can someone give me a step-by-step instruction on how to implement this? My idea was to have a splash-page with language choosing. The best solution would have been to be able to browse the site afterwards through 'http://www.site.com/fr/' (for french) and 'http://www.site.com/de/' (for german) but that's a detail.... if i could get it to work 'somehow' i'm happy :)

I'm really sorry if this has been posted before but i couldn't find a forum post with the problem solved once and for all. i found 2 or 3 threads with several different hints... what do i have to do?

Thanks in advance for any help. I hope i can get this to work, so that i can build my future projects upon this great framework!

thanks, and bye

I'd be glad if someone could at least tell me if it's possible or not. If it's not, i'll have to look around for another CMS (sadly)

I browsed through the wikis and manuals/tutorials and from what i've seen, the issue was due to be solved during the last google summer of code. Is that correct? It should be solved by now, right? please correct me if i'm wrong

You may use this method http://doc.silverstripe.com/doku.php?id=recipes:multilingual_content
to add languages to your site.

thanks for the hint. I tried following the instructions on that page but it didn't succeed. It's too bad i can't really loose time tweaking with this stuff... i'll probably have to switch CMS :( too bad really. Or is there any hope there will be a release soon with the feature implemented and working?

But thanks for the quick info.
