I'm new to SilverStripe and was wondering, is there a method in SilverStripe that could be used to setup a book library managment section with check out/in capabilities for librarians and availability viewing for home users? Something that could be tied into the user account system? Could it be built with the current framework and available modules or would it need something custom? I'm not a programmer, but I do have ideas and could help do research if it needs a module and someone wants to start it.

It would be very straightforward to develop this sort of thing. You could use the existing registration module to handle the signing up process then you would just need to setup a LibraryBook DataObject as the 'Book'.

Since you mentioned you are not a programmer it might be too much of a help but it certainly could be done within the existing framework / modules and a few custom files
