Hi,

I need help setting up the sub-site module on WAMP. I have downloaded the module on to SS and it works but I do not know how to set up the domains.

I know all the action happens in the vhosts file and I have been poking and hoping in that for hours and hours but getting no where!!

Surely I can't be the only one who has tried to set this up on WAMP and get it working?

Is anyone able to share any solutions to this?

Thanks

Subsites are not vhosts, what you will need to do to get domains/subdomains working with SilverStripe subsites locally is to add an entry to your "hosts" file.

See http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-hosts-file/ for a start and perhaps search for a few similar articles to get a good idea of what you need to do before venturing off.

(note: in production, you would deal with this at the DNS level).
