hi i try to insert a flv or swf video in my silverstripe site, but when i insert the swf video the flash controls dont appear, and the flv files dont show.

how can i view the flash video controls?'?

I had this issue and solved it so incase anyone else gets stuck:

In Flash (CS5) go to the layer which contains the video mine is called "content" (by default).
Unlock it and select it on the stage.
Go to the "Component Parameters" in the "Property" window.
Make sure both "Skin" and "Source" are pointing to your individual files in the SS assests folder (or where ever you uploaded them).
Preview your video on your computer and if it works the links are correct.
Now when you insert your swf video using the CMS you should get the video and the video control skin.

This is not particularly helpful for users who have little knowledge and simply want to embed a video but then you would just use vimeo etc. I am doing it this way as I do not want links to external video hosts and I want the video flush with the page.
