I think the simplest solution for that is to include an external addressbook in an iframe and create a new folder with db for the phpaddressbook.

Well chaps, i thought i would have a nightmare with this....

BUT, put in my headphone and spend and hour and a half, now i have a fuly working address book for the company intranet.

Search box is in my sidebar searchable only by name. and brings up the results as a small contact page.
Thanks for all your input into this guys. Made my life a WHOLE lot easier.

If someone has the sime this should be made into a module!!
