I've ghad SilverStripe installed happily on my webhost for months now, today they have upgraded their FTP servers to TLS and as a result image/files won't upload through SilverStripe. I also need to changed the port that SS uploads to.

Instructions from my host say that I need to set the new ftp port, the ftp protocol and add the protocol ftpes:// to the host name (ex: ftpes://localhost or ftpes://benrhysthomas.co.uk).

How do I do this?

SilverStripe uses HTTP to upload, so changing the port shouldn't affect anything. Sounds more like the server user has lost write access to the assets folder.
