Hi,

A good day. I have installed the CMS software successfully, but when I want to edit pages via the admin, I get the following error:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>403 Forbidden</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Forbidden</h1>
<p>You don't have permission to access /cms/cms/admin/getitem
on this server.</p>
<hr />
<address>Apache/2.0.51 (Fedora) Server at www.mydomain....com Port 80</address>
</body></html>

Does anyone have an idea what is amiss?

Thanks for your help.

Greetings,

Guy

So you get this by appending /admin to the end of a URL? e.g. http://mysite.com/admin ?

"/cms/cms/admin/getitem" looks strange.

Hello Sean,

A good morning to you. I have solved the issue with my hoster by adding some rules in the security module to allow this script. But now, the problem is that when I create a new page, the only options available are:

- error page
- redirection page
- virutal page
- page

All the other options are not working anymore :(((

If you know of why this is, or how we can change this, then it would be great.

Greetings,

Guy

Hi there,

Specifically which options are you referring to that are missing?
The page types you listed are the default ones that come with SilverStripe.

Hi Sean,

AAAAH! All right... that means that the form and such I saw in the Demo are all installed add-ons?

Am I understanding it correclty? And I can download those in the extentions page?

That's correct. It appears you've installed SilverStripe correctly, and the listed page types are default ones that come out of the box.

To have more listed, you need to write your own page types, or install extension modules for functionality that you're after.
There's a couple of popular ones like blog and forum which you can grab from the extensions page.

Cheers,
Sean

If you're referring to this page: http://demo.silverstripe.com/contact-us/

Then the module you're looking for is called "User Forms". You can grab a copy from here: http://silverstripe.org/user-forms-module/

Good luck!
