403 after installation

Hej,

really sorry to bother you with a most probably very frequent question, I am still hung with it. Upon trying to install silverstripe on an apache server, I get 403 forbidden when trying to call setup. The ss directory in not root, so I followed this:

I tried to chmod everything (the complete ss directory incl. subdirectories) to 777 (just for testing), no difference.

Joomla, Wordpress and Drupal were installed without any issue (for testing purposes). ModX also failed with 403.
