I just unarchived v2.3.0-rc4 on GoDaddy via the file manager, and from the info I've been able to gather, I should see the installation screen when I go to my domain, but all I'm getting is a blank screen.

domain is www.biginfluencemusic.com When I try to load, I get www.biginfluencemusic.com/install.php in my address bar, but nothing on the page.

I've tried to find my error log as recommended in similar posts, but don't seem to have access to it. The only thing i see that looks like it'd take me to error logs ends in a 404 page. (http://biginfluencemusic.com/stats/logs/). I am set up w/PHP 5, so that shouldn't be the issue.

if I can't get any further than this, I'm in big trouble.

help?
thanks,
gina

oh - 2 more things (which is really me thinking and troubleshooting out loud, but maybe something I come up with here will put me onto something solution-wise):

1. maybe this is a permissions thing?

2. I haven't altered my .htaccess file yet. According to this page: http://old.coupleofcents.com/installing-silverstripe-cms-on-godaddy I'm supposed to edit it to include the following:

AddHandler x-httpd-php5 .php
AddHandler x-httpd-php .php4

but I don't want to edit the file as I'm unsure where in the file I should paste those 2 lines.

argh.

Well, after digging around for hours, I finally figured out (I hope) that my problem is the domain was mistakenly set up for Windows rather than Linux. I've requested the change and we'll see how it goes from here.

wish me luck.
