Hi,
we want to develop an own admin interface skin for Silverstripe. As it turns out, the admin style is an interesting mix between CSS and JS. Before we start digging deeper into this: Is it planned to modify the admin interface CSS/JS in near future (by the silverstripe team)?
(If so, we would wait for this release ...)

In the short term no, the interface will remain like it is for the next 6-8 months with the releases of any more 2.4.* or 2.5's. With the release of 3.0 you will see a completely new backend (including the jQuery rewrite). But thats a while off yet.
