Is there any indication for how long 2.3 will be maintained with security fixes? I'm trying to timetable a move to 2.4 and are wondering how long is the longest we can hold out with 2.3 for.

I can see security releases for the 2.3 branch (as needed) for at least another 12 months.

A lot of sites are on 2.3 and quite a few people surprisingly haven't upgraded (due to some semi major API changes in 2.4). However it worries me to see on the forums people mentioning 2.3.2 etc when 2.3.8 is the latest security update. Thats 6 security issues which people are leaving themselves exposed too. I guess the way to encourage users to upgrade is to make the upgrade path easier for users and more robust tools in place for upgrading but thats another discussion :)
