Thanks to the initiative of one of our community members, Aucklanders now have a monthly SilverStripe event. Hamish Campbell, a longtime member of our developer community has started a monthly SilverStripe Auckland meetup.

Hamish explains:

I've begun a monthly event so that SilverStripe developers, designers, and users in the Auckland region can regularly meet. Each month we will profile exciting SilverStripe projects, discuss features, hold tutorials, and organise other community events. This is a social meetup—so those attending need to be prepared to be involved! The first meetup will be a bit of a 'meet and greet' to get an idea of who is interested, what they're doing, and what they want to get out of the meetup.

The first event will be held downtown at Opus (map) from 6.30pm on Thursday, 22 October. After that, the event will be held on the third Thursday of each month. Learn more and RSVP at meetup.com/SilverStripe-Auckland.
