This award winning website for Wujal Wujal Aboriginal Shire Council in tropical Far North Queensland is the recipient of the 2018 Local Government Management Queensland award for Innovation. By connecting with a locally hosted Wireless Emergency Management Network, this locally hosted, custom-designed website and community forum enables Council to manage user permissions and forum posts, and issue critical warnings and alerts via voice, text and email during emergency and natural disaster events, even when mains power and telecommunications are down. This website demonstrates SilverStripe's high-quality sophistication and capability to meet the needs of Government and demonstrates how it can be used to have a lasting and positive impact on Community. Working with Network Engineers and the Wujal Wujal Aboriginal Shire Council, Foundry delivered website strategy, consultation, content, design, development and administration training, as well as community engagement training, events and materials post-launch.
