Creating a new user group?

I've installed 3.0.4, and for some reason the "Add Group" and "Add Role" buttons (security panel, respective tabs) do absolutely nothing.
I'm not even sure how to phrase my question beyond "???"

Check your PHP error logs for anything that would indicate a problem. Also try the new 3.1 beta as this has a much larger collection of bug fixes.

3.0.4 had some problems with $allowed_actions, you also can't actually save and publish pages in 3.0.4, so maybe it's the same cause. Try upgrading to 3.0.5
