Fresh install, files are visible to the world.

Just did fresh install of SilverStripe. No problem, but have some apprehension. Let say my install dir is
www.mysite.com/SilverStripe
I can saee files in that location, like
www.mysite.com/SilverStripe/INSTALL or
www.mysite.com/SilverStripe/ChangeLog
and etc.
Is it normal?
I played with other cms and all of them seems to hide such things. -

it is normal, but I delete them, just like here...
