It was a smaller group this month at the Wellington Meetup, ahead of WDCNZ which happened the following evening, but nonetheless we covered some interesting topics. It's been a busy couple of months for us here in the SilverStripe realm, with many small releases, but most noteworthy, our stable v3.0 release in June.

Following this milestone saw Sigurd Magnusson kick off the meetup by talking about what's really in v3, followed by thoughts for the future as we begin to talk about SilverStripe 3.1.

Community member Cam Findlay kept things people focussed with his presentation about the SilverStripe Developer Community - A Retrospective. Both videos are incuded below for those of you who missed out!

The second part of the meetup involved an interactive session which supplemented Cam's talk. This open discussion was the first of its kind as far as community meetups go. We talked about core, peripheral and active SilverStripe users, and what's involved in moving each user along to the next level of evangalism. Watch out for a specific blog post to follow.

If there’s something you’d like to hear or speak about at our next meetup in October, get in touch through the comments, via Twitter and Facebook, or email kerstin@silverstripe.com. We’d love to hear what you've been up to with SilverStripe. If you haven't already, join our Wellington meetup group for regular updates. A big thanks to all of you who joined us last week!
