SilverStripe's CEO and original lead developer, Sam Minnée, will be leading two 1-day SilverStripe training courses for London developers wanting to get the most out of SilverStripe.
Prior to the opening of our first UK office next month, this is a rare opportunity to learn about SilverStripe from one of the company's founders, and at no cost! Places are limited to ten people per course to ensure the best learning environment. To ensure you don't miss out register your spot at www.silverstripe.org/LondonRSVP.
Course 1: Jumpstart
Date: Thursday 5th March 2015
SilverStripe Jumpstart is a 1-day introductory course designed to introduce web developers to the basic concepts of build sites with SilverStripe CMS. This includes setting up a development environment, installing SilverStripe and modules from composer, creating behaviour-driven page types and templates, customising the CMS user interface, building forms and working with data-driven content.
Jumpstart will highlight best-practices, arm the developer with a useful vocabulary and provide a solid knowledge base to aid further learning about SilverStripe CMS and Framework. To get the most value out of this course, you should already be familiar with PHP. If you are not, we suggest that you take an online tutorial before coming on the course.
Course 2: Advanced Class and Code Clinic
Date: Friday 6th March 2015
SilverStripe Advanced Class is a 1-day advanced course designed for experienced SilverStripe developers. Learn how to avoid common pitfalls and ensure that your SilverStripe sites remain high-performance and secure. As well as prepared material, the advanced class will also allow for plenty of "code clinic" time to work through discuss particular questions you may have in a group setting.
To get the most value out of this course, you should already be familiar with SilverStripe.
Full course details can be found on our London RSVP page.
