The way people can connect with their communities in New Zealand is rapidly changing as the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has evolved. It’s a time for everyone to take the opportunity to reach out and support one another as COVID-19’s impact is felt across our industries.

At Silverstripe, our teams are working to support our clients, partners, and the community across the globe as we all work together during this period of uncertainty. As a digital workplace, we’ve been fortunate to be able to quickly adapt and put plans into place to keep our teams safe and healthy, so we can keep delivering work to our clients and our community. We’re here to make sure that we can help the people we work alongside to stay up and running at any Alert Level of COVID-19.

We’ve tested and activated our Business Continuity Plan.

On Thursday 17th of March, we took the opportunity to perform a company-wide work-from-home (WFH) test, with all 74 of our staff working from home. We wanted to make sure that everyone had the tools they needed to work from home while delivering our products and services to our clients and our community.

From Monday 23rd March, we’ve activated our Business Continuity plan and closed our offices in Auckland and Wellington. As a digital workplace, our teams are equipped to work remotely from around the country and will continue to work from home during this time.

We’re working remotely until further notice.

While our offices in Auckland and Wellington will remain closed as long as we need to, our teams will still be working remotely. Following our WFH test, we equipped our staff with everything they need to make sure their working from home experience is a positive one. We’ve incorporated all the tools that suit us—like Zoom for video conferencing and Slack for messaging—to make sure we’re keeping in touch and collaborating like we would at the office. We’ve made sure every team member at Silverstripe is equipped to work remotely at any time. We’re still dedicated to keeping the momentum going for work we’re doing while keeping everyone safe.

We’re still offering our full range of products and services.

For our teams, we’re able to continue with business as usual. This means that we can offer our full range of services to everyone who interacts with Silverstripe during the COVID-19 pandemic through each and every Alert Level. From product development for Silverstripe CMS, hosting and support through Silverstripe Cloud, and our bespoke teams still working on strategy, design, and web development, our team members are here to support you from the safety of their homes.
